Dining Under the Stars
Posted August 30th, 2011 - 3:41 pm by from Wallingford, United States (Permalink)
Every Wednesday in the warmer part of the year, State Street in Media is closed down and used for shopping, outdoor dining, and live music. Let's get together on Wednesday, September 7, walk around for a bit to check it out, and then get dinner. 7 would be a good time to get to dinner, but I'd be available to walk around at 6 (or even earlier if anyone would prefer to come straight from work and needs to kill time)

Media is the only suburban town in the US with a trolley running down its main street, and it has a very handsome neoclassical courthouse building, and one of the highest concentrations of good restaurants in the western suburbs. And especially during dining under the stars when it's filled with people and free of cars, it's a lovely place to spend an evening. Here's the event's web site: http://visitmediapa.com/diningunderthestars

I was thinking that Shere-E-Punjab would be a good place to go with CouchSurfers for good and moderately priced food. http://www.yelp.com/biz/shere-e-punjab-media

Omigosh, this sounds lovely.

How does one get to Media, PA? I think me and the hubs would come together, so if he comes, we can offer up to 3 people a ride from Graduate Hospital.

If there is traffic on the blue route: http://g.co/maps/p6pq

If not: http://g.co/maps/ugvc

(I'm in disbelief of those short url's!)

Don't follow google's regular directions and take the schuylkil to broad street. That's stupid.
