Hello everybody,
I will be in Frankfurt for one week end.
I would know if there are some places that I have to seen absolutly in Frankfurt and good restaurants (not so expensive....
What are the food specialiy of your city?
If someone is free for a visit or a drink in the week end of the 1st march, send me a message.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Florine,

the traditional specialties of Frankfurt (or Hessia in general) are pretty simple: Green Sauce, "hand cheese with music" (cheese in vinegar with onions) and apple wine (the sour, non-sparkling version of cidre). You can best try them in one of the typical apple wine pubs in Sachsenhausen or Bornheim. Personally I would suggest "Atschel" in Sachsenhausen. Another restaurant for more traditional German-Austrian food that I always recommend is "Klosterhof" in the center. You won't be the only tourist there however.

Enjoy,
Timm

I also like "Wirtshaus" on Fressgass! Great mashed potatos!
