Hi:

I am planning a all summer RV trip to Alaska in 2013. My RV is 36' with slide out and sleeps 4 easy 6 cozy but would limit to 3 or 4? If you do not get to Alaska in 2012 keep in touch. I will be looking for 1 or 2 people to share cost and adventure, freindship only. It looks like you enjoy travel and seeing new areas as I do. Have a great day. Mick

Are you going to Denali? This would be a beautiful trip. I want to join up on a trip like this but I would have to be a sharerider because I've decided that the full investment is too much for me.

Check with me in Spring of 2013 for Alaska trip? Have a great day. Mick

That sounds like a wonderful trip. Have you any details to help prospective travel buddies make up their minds.
How long did it take? and roughly what did it cost.
Anyone from outside the States would have to add airfare.

Thanks Joy. It sounds totally wonderful. A non specific price tag is a bit scary if you have limited funds. I would like to keep this one in mind.

That seems too low. I just drove through The States from Detroit to Washington State and it cost $700 for gas only. I have a 21 foot van conversion, a 1994 Dodge Ram 350.

Hi
I would love to join you on the west coast California part back to Florida. I have been wanting to do that trip for a long time.
And...we did communicate once before about house-sitting.
Keep in touch
Sheila

You could perhaps contact some of the commentors personally to see what their plans are. Like Mick I am busy this year and am hoping i might be able to do it in Spring 2013. unless I go to Thailand.... or Morocco!!

Perhaps you can meet us in Alaska and drive back part way with someone. :-)

I am planning a trip to Alaska from BC for the summer 2013 in my 21 foot van conversion. Friends in the +50 group are interested in joining me. I have been asked to arrange a trip. Can anyone with a camper who is prepared to host ( I think with cost sharing) please contact me. Also anyone who has done the trip and has an idea as to time, routes, sights to see etc. Anyone want to be a co-planner with me. I have never done the trip. We can have several campers and travel together or at least meet up at the end of the day.

Hi, Joy,
If you take the I-10 - deep southerly route back, then you're welcome to stay with me.
Wish I could join you, but I'm home for the summer.
Happy trails,
Cat

That is great Thomas. How many people can you fit in your rig? I can take one very good friend as I have only one bed. I already have a taker. I was traveling in South Africa with the plus 50 group this winter when this topic came up so we have about five interested parties so far. That doesn't mean everyone will make it in the end. Plus I nope others will join. It would be fun to have several rigs and form a caravan. I think most people can only stay for one way or part way so we should look for people who want to go from north to south as well. Or be willing to drive home without our companions.

I have a Roadtrek camper van and I live in Juneau. I'm interested in traveling with my van in Alaska and the Yukon this spring and summer. Let me know if you will be up here! Jane from Juneau

Seriously , keep me posted .
I am leaving towards the end of the month on a bicycle/kayak tour on the Mississippi River Trail but I will keep up with this post.
I can ride down to Ft Laurderdale to meet up with you on a weekend sometime, Gina

I am glad you had a good time Thomas. In the spring this year I was in Morocco and really loved it.
I have now bought my own van, a tiny VW T4 and plan to do lots of trips in Europe. Starting with one down to Spain in March of next year.

Happy travels ( no canoeing or dog sledging for me!)
