Cumbia in New York?
Posted July 29th, 2012 - 1:28 am by from San Francisco, United States (Permalink)
I'm staying in New York until August 8th. Does anyone know of any fun venues that have Latin music? I really enjoy Cumbia and Merengue, but I can also dig salsa and bachata.

Hi, i just heard of an apparently very nice salsa/latin spot in the East Village called "Speakeasy" (51 Ave C
New York, NY 10009). I was thinking of going there this friday. It would be cool to meet up with some couchsurfers there! maybe around 11pm? See you, Caroline

There are lots of places! My favorite on Tuesdays is Favela Cubana in the West Village. It gets going about 10:30pm and specializes in Cuban salsa.
