Hi ,
5th Anniversary of the Taragalte Festival
This year we celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Taragalte Festival. The programme of the festival is filled with different musicians, poetry readings, debates and many more activities. The setting is magical; you will find a big circle of tents and a stage at the “door” of the Sahara.

The Caravan
The theme of this years Taragalte Festival is ‘The Caravan’. This theme was chosen to revitalize the historical role and importance of the trans-Saharan caravan and to rekindle the economic experiences, cultural exchanges and human connections that happen at M’Hamid El Ghizlane.

Are you ready for a magical festival on the border of Morocco and Algeria? You can pre-order a single ticket, three day ticket or a package from Marrakesh ( contact us ).
The Taragalte festival is held annually in the dunes on the site of M‘Hamid El Ghizlane in the province of Zagora in southern Morocco, close to the Kasbah Sidi Khalil (departure of former caravans from M‘Hamid El Ghizlane to Timbuktu), at the edge of the palm gardens of M’Hamid El Ghizlane and the beginning of the desert.
