what is the weather like in early November?

Karthik - that will really depend on where you are in Bhutan. The southern regions (bordering India) is tropical in nature whereas it will be real intense cold in the north (to which most foreigners will need extra layers of permits!).

For Thimphu, Paro and probably Punakha, weather should remain pleasant through early November. The days will be sunny and t-shirty and the nights will be moderately cold and you will need a sweater. As you go more into east (Wangdi+), the days start getting a little chilly and it will be really cold by the time sun sets. You can still survive with a sweater, but a jacket will be really handy.
