I know it's early still but I missed the winter at home and I'm dying to get on the snow and ride. I know I can't be the only boarder/skier around so I thought I'd check and see if anyone is interested in making a trip up early season. Also if you're a local perhaps you know a spot for cheap lift passes and or rentals, and if you happen to go to Tahoe someday I'll gladly return the favor. Who wants to go?

Hi !
I miss the winter and the ski too ! Unfortunately I'm not a local, I don't have a car, and I've got no idea about the best places to go skiing for cheap, but if something is being organized, I'd love to join !

Hey Andrus,
I will not miss this season too but I am going to do my outback trip for a month. will come back early of July. Last friday, I and my friend just discussed about Mt. Buller trip. He may be able to offer a lift or the worse let's rent and share the cost of car and petrol... (I hope some of you can drive and have a license).
I hate the fact that I haven't had my driving license after taking several driving classes in the state and back in my country as I prefer using motorcycle(I may use clever way to get a driving license soon)...

Cheers,
Novatus

Hi all,

I really want to go skiing this year. I was going to try and co-ordinate with some friends but not sure now how successful that will be. I have a car and would be happy to drive. but i work during the week so i could only do a weekend thing.

My car is just a hatch back so it could take me plus 3 others as long as we don't have skiis etc. as thiw would be an issue.

(maybe i can get away with taking either a friday or a monday off work, depending on when peope would be happy to go.

Ive ski'd hotham and falls creek before, falls has a larger variety of runs and is quite pretty.(they are a bit farther away but less crowded than buller from what i hear). I'm open to location. Maybe if there are a number of people interested we could set up an event and plan a time to meet?

Looks like there's a few people interested and maybe the first week of July would be a good time since it'll still be early season and hopefully we can find some deals on lift passes/rentals. Weekends work for me and I should be able to swing a Monday or Friday off as well. If you guys are still up for it maybe we can pick a weekend and take it from there

hi guys

would love to join you for a weekend trip to the snow too! I'm a ski instructor and would also be happy to teach beginners for a couple of hours if there are any ;)
I don't have a car and I'm not a local either. I do have a drivers license though... woohoo so keen on going skiing!

cheers

Hi guys!

I am desperate to get to the snow!!! But my friends are super lame and not interested. I'd be keen to join any trips if any have been organised.

I would really love to go cross country skiing for a day or two ths week. And maybe a day on the slopes, at Buller preferably.
If you're a bit of a newby, I was a ski instructor in Norway for a season, so I can also give you some pointers. But with that being said, I am not very experienced at all, so don't expect too much! If you know how to basically ski, I can't tell you too much more unfortunately. But I can still try my best.
I have a car. It's a sedan and I don't have roof racks, so skis could be a problem but I might try to get some racks. Otherwise a bus could be an option.
I'm on uni holidays until August, so if you're keen but can't come this week, still let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Emma.

Hello!
I'm a bit late and you've probably already organised something, but me(http://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=JMBN4KA) and my boyfriend Ian (http://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=J0816NU)were hoping to go to skiing/snowboarding this weekend (9/10 July) or the next (depending on weather), either day trip or overnight stop - thinking Buller just because its nearer but don't really mind.
Ian is a snowboarder but I've never done skiing or snowboarding before so was thinking about getting a lesson.
Would love a ride as we don't have a car and can contribute to all costs. I can share driving too if you like.
OR, I could hire a car and maybe a few of us could chip in for everything (would probs need to hire snow chains too).
If not we might try and get a bus: you're welcome to join us!
