Looking for advices during your time in Ecuador?
We work and live in Quito, we are a group of professional Spanish teachers for more than 15 years teaching Spanish to foreigners. We would like this group to be used as a resource for people who are thinking about a trip to Quito and have questions about: trips, hostels, finding something specific about any activity to do in Quito or just wondering if they have the right information.
Quito and Ecuador are great places and we are people who want to share our knowledge with those who wish to make the most out of their experience here. We would like to organize any travelling idea that you have in mind. Post your questions or tell us your great story and help others have a great experience in Ecuador!
We will do our best to answer from our expertise or find someone who can help.

New way to be stolen in Quito!
Take care once you are in Quito, with backpacks, photocameras,...
As foreigner, a new incredible/creative way to be stolen in Quito is: the thief stains your clothes with any liquid (yogurt, mustard...) when you are trying to clean it, in few seconds he/she takes your things very fast. Believe or not, the thief, never alone, disappears in the twinkling of an eye!
Leave your passport, credit cards and other values in the safe-deposit box of your hotel, school... Bring with you a copy of your passport and some money for every day.
Once one of my students was in a restaurant eating and talking with other classmates, she always saw her backpack that was in front of her eyes, in few seconds it disappears.
It's better to prevent instead of solving problems.
