SF Foodies Brunch - D for Dim Sum - Saturday, 10/18
Posted October 15th, 2008 - 8:23 am by from Berkeley, United States (Permalink)
Come join the San Francisco Foodies for a fun, relaxing brunch on Saturday, October 18th at Canton Seafood and Dim Sum Restaurant.

You are welcome to eat as much or as little as your budget and appetite dictate - a cup of tea or a full dim sum feast - it's entirely up to you. Food or no food, the important thing is that you're having a good time in the company of your fellow CS locals and travelers. :)

See you there!

A big thanks to everyone who joined us for dim sum on this sunny Saturday afternoon. What a nice little convo we had. Sixteen of us altogether - about half locals and half travelers. Always good to see the familiar faces of Cynthia, Sasha, Lauren and Glenn - and great to hear about travel adventures of our visiting couchsurfers as well. :)

We ate family style, sampling and sharing a bunch of different veggie, shrimp and pork dumplings and drinking warm tea. The sesame dessert dumpling was a real table favorite. Yum. Oh, and let me just say that I am normally an herbal tea fanatic, but I may just have to stop by Vital Tea Leaf and pick me up some proper caffeinated Chinese tea. Mmm, jasmine tea...

A number of the foodie folks went on to Dolores Park for the Soapbox event and/or Golden Gate Park for the free concert after the brunch. Good times ensued. :)
