Posted February 6th, 2013 - 10:30 am by from Fox Glacier, New Zealand (Permalink)
Chinese girl who loves outdoor. i define myself as laidback and funny and talk a lot if we know each other more, may be shy and do not talk so much when we first meet. i have some backcountry experiences but no snow mountain experience.

I am working in chch right now and will finish it on march 10th. Plan to go Wwoofing for 10 days and then Mt.Cook.
I dont want to climb to the top but at least over snow. 4 or 5 days perhaps. It will be great to see sunset and sun rise on the snow. I have basic equipments except cooking gears as I lost my car so cannot carry to many things with me when I go traveling.

If anyone has same idea please contact me by mail or txt 02102299037. Let's see if we can made it. As i am not experienced, i hope you get some similar experience, safer :) Date is flexible.

cheers

Hey,
I'm not in the area at the moment and will not be able to do any hikes but I can maybe give you some advise.
When I was traveling on the South Island I always asked everybody to recommend some good hikes. Almost everybody mentioned the hike up to Mueller Hut which gives you great views of Mt Cook and all the other mountains in the area. It's a rather short hike taking just two days return. You can find more information on the doc website.

Cheers,
Andy
