My French, Spanish, English, or German for your help settling down

I lived in Japan several years, back in 1987-1992, and have worked a lot with the Japanese language since then, teaching Japanese people in Europe, or translating Japanese-English in the USA. I don't really need help with Japanese language, but of course I'm always willing to improve and maintain the level I have.

Now I'm thinking of returning to Japan to work for a year or two. I'm sure I will be able to find some work soon but instead of spending time and money searching for a room or an apartment somewhere, I thought I could offer my language services in exchange for a place to stay for a few weeks. At the same time that I live there I can help my host learn one or several of my languages. It would be convenient because we would be sharing the living space and could have everyday conversation in French, German, Spanish, or English, and schedule regular and formal sessions as well, which we would do at home, or in the host's office. I'm thinking of a 4-6 week period.

I am used to sleeping on the floor (like camping, I've been doing it for the last year and a half, travelling by bicycle around Europe), so all I need is a small space on the floor somewhere, and the use of the bathroom/WC, of course. In fact, if there is a public bath nearby, that's just as well. I'm very quiet and easy going, clean, etc.
