Looking for language exchnage partner. Englsih to Japanese :)
Posted September 6th, 2009 - 1:56 pm by from Tokyo, Japan (Permalink)

I am looking for someone who are interested in learning Japanese, and teaching English.

As I have expereienced in teaching Japanese as a assistant teacher in the US, the skill may help me a bit easier to teach you Japanese.

Although I used to live in the US during my high school year, my work environment is currently among typical Japanese, which means no English at all.

It would be wonderful to meet new people, and know their cultures and languages!!

Looking forward to your message!

Hi Alice,
My name is Brae and I just moved to Tokyo last month to teach Engish to children at an after school program. I am also looking for a language exchange partner although I have no Japanese ability yet. Maybe you would be a great teacher since you have teaching experience! I also have experience. I taught at a university in China for a year, and I used to tutor Japanese people in American one on one.

Let me know if you would like to meet up sometime!

Peace, Brae

Hi Alice,
I work on weekdays from 12-8, so mornings and weekends are good for me. Want to meet before your trip or wait till after?

What about this Saturday, late morning or mid day? What part of the city do you live in? I am in Machida.

I'm visiting Tokyo for a few days. In Ginza right now and will be leaving for Kyoto later this week. If you'd like to meet up and practice English or learn some California slang, feel free to message me. :)

Ah maybe I am too slow... looks like you have a lot of responses already, and some other guy from California posted before me ...so I have nothing different and unique to offer =P ...lol.

Maybe if you have some Japanese friends we can get a small conversation/coffee group together (maybe like 3 Japanese, 3 English speakers)? I really would like to improve my Japanese... and I have so many questions. Let me know what you think.
