Choir singers needed for music event Sept 15
Posted September 8th, 2013 - 1:25 pm by from New York, United States (Permalink)

I'm a singersongwriter and performer based in Washington Heights. I'm playing a show on September 15 at Word Up Books (165/Amsterdam) and now looking for a handful of choir singers, wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me? To be clear, this isn't a religious event or anything. I just think it would be beautiful to have a small choir for my show, maybe 5 or 6 people.

I need both males and female voices, as I've got some four-part action
going on. Bass, tenor, alto, soprano. Sight reading ability is a huge
plus (I'll have sheet music for everyone) but not mandatory, if you
can commit to learning the parts.

The show will be on Sunday September 15, 3-6p. You must be available
for this time and one or both of the following rehearsal dates/times:

Sunday, Sept 8, 6-9p
Friday, Sept 13, 10a-1p

Both rehearsals and the show will take place at Word Up Books in
Washington Heights. It's located at 165th and Amsterdam, just a few
blocks from the A and 1 trains at 168th or the C at 163rd.

Food and drinks will be provided at all three events.

Please listen to tracks 1, 4, and 10 at the link below to get an idea
of what we'll be singing together.

Even if you're not interested in being a choir singer, please check
out the Facebook event page below for more details about the show:

I hope you'll come, RSVP, and invite more friends!

If you have any further questions or comments, please let me know. I
hope to hear from some of you and I hope to see the rest of you at the
