Flashing Lights w/ Congorock another rave in a dim sum restaurant
February 27, 2010 at 11:00pm
88 East Broadway in Manhattan
Flashing Lights w/ CONGOROCK
:: Built By MeanRed & Good Peoples
FLASHING LIGHTS is the neon brainchild of some of the city’s most beloved selectors: DJ AYRES (responsible for 7+ sweaty years of The Rub parties at Southpaw), NICK CATCHDUBS (remix/mixtape phenom and co-founder of the hit indie label Fool’s Gold) and JUBILEE (BK bass sweetheart behind her own Nightshifters imprint). The FL trio have branded their party as a true destination, thanks to exciting and unpredictable sets blending brand new music and revitalized dance classics. By teaming up with party promoters Mean Red and Good Peoples, the team has been able to keep the crowd bumping in giant clubs, underground lounges and hijacked dim sum restaurants alike.
The next FL party at 88 Palace in Chinatown will feature a guest set from Fool's Gold's Italian sensation Congorock, who has made a name for himself (alongside countrymen Crookers and Bloody Beetroots) with a fresh take on bass heavy, bleeped-out sounds. His upcoming single "Babylon" has already set the internet ablaze with it's mystical music video, and this exclusive NYC date on his "More Fire" tour brings all the manic intensity right to your subway stop.
