I need some help/advice regarding transportation (living in Busan)

Hey guys! So me and my friends decided to visit Korea for a ski/snowboarding trip from 27th Jan to 5th Feb. We'll be staying in Busan area, around samick beach town. Anyway, we decided to visit 2 ski resorts, Muju (Deogyusan Resort) and Yongpyong resort.

So my question is, how do you suggest we head to Deogyusan resort from Busan? There are self-transportation guides on the website, but I am not sure about the operating times for the transit services, like whether we can take midnight buses/trains. Also, how should we go about to travel to Yongpyong resort from Seoul? I am confused by the shuttle bus guide on the website. Are there more convenient alternatives? It would be great if you guys can help me out!

On a side note, we would love to meet with local CSers around, if anyone is free and willing!

Can't wait to visit Korea!

Oh, and I'm also wondering, is it possible to travel to Yongpyong resort from Donghae?

Hi Hin,

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Korea! I just came from a snowboarding trip in Yong Pyong myself and had a really great time. I took a bus from Incheon airport straight to Yong Pyong though. But the bus info can be found here: http://www.yongpyong.co.kr/eng/trans/tr_sbus.asp

If you also want snowboarding lessons or for someone to help you arrange your trip, try my snowboard instructor, Han. He's awesome! You may reach him with inquiries at: hancompany.han@gmail.com.

Enjoy your trip here! I know I did!

Hey Lois! Thanks for your help! I'll definitely take note of your recommendation. By the way, did you stay in the resort hostels at Yongpyong or was it just a one day thing for you?

I stayed at Greenpia condominium which was also arranged by Han. It's a bit pricey. But if you're going with a group, the cost can be split. Have fun snowboarding!
