Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan, and maybe Jeju island in June 18- July 2! :)

Hello CS,

I'm going to South Korea in Summer! *super excited!*

I'm planning to spend my first week only around Seoul and the second week trying to explore the whole country (big cities at least :P)

Anyone will be around the cities I mentioned around that time please write me up! Who knows we can travel together or meet up for coffee.

Oh, Jeju island is still tentative as I try not to take a tour package. But a friend said renting a car and drive around the island is the best way. So, anyone interested in wandering around will be very much appreciated, those who can drive will be preferable. haha

Cheers!

Hi Kristia,

For your information, there will be event that will be arranged by Indonesian people here during your vacation period, One Indonesian Day Festival (outdoor and big festival) on June 30, 2013. You may be interested to join and meet up with not only with Indonesian but also with others. The event will be held at Seoul.

Hello Wahyono, Great info! If it's open for anyone to come or at least for Indonesian nationals, I would definitely GO! Where and when is it exactly? So I can estimate the distance and the accommodation for that particular event.

Thank you!

Hello Kenny,

Now I get even more excited about adding Jeju to my list! May I know what's the rate for a car rent per day in Jeju? If I rent a car, do I have to drive or does that include a driver? (because in Indonesia we can do both ways)

I hope you don't mind me asking many questions~^^

Have a pleasant day,

Kristia

Hi Kenny,

If I ever step foot in Jeju, I want to stay there at least 3 days 2 nights.

Then again the problem is I don't have driver's license. :P
I think I have to think of other options.

Thanks for your responses

Cheers!

Yes it is open for anyone who want to know about Indonesia. The event will be held on June 30, at Ansan (about 40 minutes from Seoul).

I did almost the same trip last year. Seoul to Gyeongju to Busan and then to Jeju. You have to go to Jeju. My friends and I actually hired a taxi and it cost $120 per day to have a ride as well as a guide for the whole day. We actually got it for 2 days. we did the same in Gyeongju. If you can afford it, it was a great way to see the whole island as well as all the historic sites in both Gyeongju and Jeju.

Hi Francis,

By taxi?? wow.. I don't think I can afford that~ hh
But if the cost to rent a car and a guide is more or less the same and there's few other travelers to share the fare with that actually sounds good.

I haven't lost hope in finding a travel mate to explore Jeju and share the cost with me though! ^^

Cheers,

Kristia

The taxi cost about $100 per day, including driver. We also bought him lunch.
