I'm ready! I'm ready!

My top three are guyana, georgia, and guatemala!

I would go for any of those, but I would vote for it to be the week of the 18th (before the 22nd) as I am leaving NY on the 23rd. It would be awesome to catch another dinner before I leave.

end of may/beginning of june works for me. and i vote for guatemala!

Posted April 23rd, 2009 - 5:35 pm by from Bangkok, Thailand (Permalink)
Hey guys,

Well it looks like only a few of these might be in NYC...

guyana, georgia, and guatemala out of these I think that we might be able to find Georgia or Guatemala. But I am still putting Georgia up front. As I have done Greek, and German a few times. But I could be up for some German, with loads of flowing beers.

Hey Jacjui,
If you want to try and pull together this group before the 22nd awesome. But I am going to shoot for when I return on the 28th so I might shoot for the 29th which is a Friday night and might be the first meet up on a Friday nt meet up.

So I will try for that night and sorry that you will not be able to meet up with us.

cheers

Menupages only has Greek and German restaurants listed but if you find Guatamalan or Georgian (and they have vegetarian options that aren't just appetizers or sides), I'd be interested in trying them.

Otherwise, I vote for Greek. I've been to Germany and didn't like the food much (very meat-heavy) and I had one of my best meals at Anthos since you mentioned you're a foodie.

I don't even know what Georgian food is? Is that just basically Russian?

There must be a Guatamalan restaurant somewhere?

I found a Georgian restaurant, but it is in Brooklyn, here is the link: http://www.tbilisiny.com/

yes Georgia is picking up speed. Yeah its kinda like Russian but I think allot different. I thought you guys were already done with F. Oh well let me know how that one goes. But this meet up with be at the end of May.

Oh and yeah I am up for going off the island and into Brooklyn. I just looked at the menu and its just like another place I went to in London. But alas they did not put the prices on the web site oh how nice of them.

Cheers

Hey,

So I'd be happy to set up and event for the Georgian restaurant that I found, but it would have to be before the 23rd, because I am leaving NY then (for Good :-( ) Anyway, can everyone vote for a day....

We did the ethiopian dinner during the week and I thought that worked really well, so would anybody be interested in meeting up on either Tuesday, May 19th; Thursday, May 21st; or Friday, May 22nd.

May 22nd wouldn't work for a lot of people since its a long weekend. May 19th or May 21st works the best for me.

There are no Guatemalan restaurants in NYC, he/she who opens the first one might make some serious money...

I vote pre-revival

Hey guys,
I just got back from a jungle trek in the Amazon so fun. Wow this post is really picking up speed. Jacqui if you set up a meet up page then I am sure the peeps will come. I think that if Georgia does go off before I come back then I will do another letter G country, this will be my first a split letter. So for all the foodies that are looking for something else post up. But if your cool with some down home sausage from German maybe we could find a spot for when I get back to NYC. As I will be back on Thur the 28th or I could do the 29th. Thanks and sorry to miss you Jacqui.
Enjoy your last few weeks in the best city in the world.

Cheers

Hey guys,
I know that Jacqui~s meet up is tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone would be up for another G meet up on either Thur or Fri or next week. We could do another pre-Revival meet up.

Give me a shout and let me know what you think guys.

Cheers
