Korean?

Couldn't find a Kenyan restaurant.

Same thing with Kazakhstan.

Any ideas?

Hehe. You missed out on Katz. Moving on without (hopefully) and long discussions.

Katemari, you know of a Kabuli place?

I see they didn't do Afghan for A so lets go with Kabuli. I see a few options, but have no idea how they are.

Two votes for Korean, two for Kabuli.

Anyone want to be the tie breaker?

Or is just going to be "Whoever isn't lazy and actually picks a specific time/place will chose" vote?

Haha- to be technical - "Kabul" is not a recognized country as "Jewish" not either... but that's a whole other beast :)....

I'm down for Korea town, since I live close- maybe we can do Karokee afterward - how does October 19th sound 8 PM at Wonjo.. (unless someone knows a better place in Ktown)

Wonjo, 23 W. 32nd St., (212) 695-5815
"Wonjo is one of the last two BBQ joints in K-town that still fires up its grill with charcoal -- the other being New York Gom Tang House, the oldest Korean restaurant on the block in the old Bergdorf Goodman building across the street. Gas-grillin' is run of the mill on 32nd but if you want the real deal you should go here. They also have a decent sushi bar and baby octopus for the grill. So go for the surf 'n' turf action. It is "Yum-O" as Rachel Ray would say. I love the waitstaff here"

should I say "internationally recognized by the united nations" :)

Oooh :( I can't make it the 19th. I'll be at school. I couldve made the Friday, Saturday, or even Sunday but not Monday.

I'm so down. I never had Kabuli, I dunno if the vote is closed, I'd be up for that.

Mondays are perfect, by the way, let's hear it for Mondays!

Also, earliest I could be there is 7:30. Unless it's like uptown or brooklyn or one of those places that's not near JC at all. In that case, later :)

I can do Monday October 19th, after 730pm would be great. I can probably join Tuesday and Wednesday that week also, but my work schedule has yet to be determined.

Looking forward to the final verdict!

Guys, I just looked at Wonjo's website; it seems pretty expensive. Anyone have other ideas? Lets get moving on this.

Did someone say KOSHER? Hows about a LAST MINUTE Monday Night Kiddish? ;)

I have all this left over food from my friends son's bar mitzva. Bagels, lox, cream cheese, whitefish, sable, tuna, egg salad. All kinds of fancy deserts..TONIGHT if u can take the 10 min bus ride to Weehawken. RSVP! enough for about 10 people!

And remember...U dont have to be Jewish to eat bagels! And Kosher means Hallal too! Food is 100% kosher and I have paper and plastic utensils!

Maybe byob (bring ur own bagel) as the ones i have r very goyisher! :D)))

Hi, I just joined. Korean sounds good -- as a Half-Korean person I approve!

I third Kum Gang San. They're pretty decent and definitely give a good idea of Korean fare. :)

Mind if I tag along? :)

K is for Kashkaval, I am an original member of 8 people who ate A, for Argentina. I would like to invite everyone to my mediterranean cheese and wine bar. Kashkaval is named after the famous Bulgarian Cheese. We do fondue and great wine. Everything will be at a very significant discount.. Brian it would be great to share a meal once again!
