Solstice in Cambridge with Lap of the Goddess
Litha - Summer Solstice Led by Tammy Murillo
Saturday June 19, 2010 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
During the Summer Solstice, the Sun reaches its peak in light and power before the year begins to wane. At the height of the Sun's strength we turn the Wheel of the Year once more and enter the season of Fire. The promise of Ostara is realized as all life that is strong and vital is now maturing into full bloom. The intentions within the seeds we have sown are ripening to their full beauty and potential. Our own energy rises, seemingly boundless, and we experience a sense of oneness with the living Earth.
We celebrate this time through ritual and song to aid us in absorbing the light of the Sun to strengthen and fortify ourselves now, both to aid us in further nourishing the growth we wish to coax into that light and in preparation for the coming dark months. We will use shamanic journey to visit with the Great Ones, receive their wisdom and enjoy sharing the manifestation of the Great Mother's bounty .
