Pedro da Gavéa - hiking/climbing
Posted August 30th, 2010 - 3:07 pm by from Leonberg, Germany (Permalink)
Hi there,

while spending time in Rio from sept 11th to 15th I`d like to do some hiking/climbing. Anyone interested in going together - and probably experienced with Mt. Gavea? So far I only found guided tours (see link).

sunday 16th would be a great day for this event. Just send me a message!
Alternatvie option: visit Tijuca park

Ich möchte da gehen und ein bischen auf Deusch mit dir zu reden.
Es ist möglich?

Manchmal gehe ich mit einige Freunde nach andere Berg oder nach Strandt(Grumari)

Bitte schreib mir auf Deutsch.

Entschuldige meine Fehler.

I'm trying to vote, but I keep reading the security code error message.

Anyway, I can only on sunday. And I don't have a car (for now)

So, what have you guys decided? I see me and MARISHINIA have both suggested sunday, but I only see votes for monday on plan|it}easy. =/

BTW, there are a few things we should make shure.
1) It's been raining this week. We better check if the weather is gonna be dry till sunday/monday.
2) Has anyone gone up there yet (Lelayna)? If nobody has climbed to the top, we might need a guide. A friend of mine has told me the trails can be sometimes misleading and the "Carrasqueira" cliff is kind of scary (some people use a rope to cross it).

Hey,
I am not sure if I am in.... but if it is at sunday....
Very probably yes...
I also had been there a few times,...
I am not a guide,.. but with Astrid (Lelayna) together, sure we can find the way...
And I think it´s nice to go early,.. that means,... 8:00 A.M. at Largo da Barra in front of Osvaldo ( a bar that everybody knows..)

Hey guys, why don't you join the trekking to Bico do Papagaio, in Tijuca Forest?

Both will happen at the same day.

Pedra da Gávea is beautiful, but we can go next weekend.

What do you think?

Hi all,

I am very happy to see that there are so many responses to this idea :-).

Sunday: me, MARISHINIAIA, Rafael, Lelayna, Artur (probably)
Monday: Eric, Tatjana

As far as I see only Astrid & Arthur would be able to guide so only sunday is possible (it will not rain on Sunday).
@you Both: if you can guide on sunday, please write a message and the event will take place. Thank you for this offer ;-)
Meet at: 8:00 A.M. at Largo da Barra in front of Osvaldo.

Alternative: If there is no guide found until tomorrow evening 6pm, I see only the possibility to chancel the event for sunday. As Alternative we can join the other Event...
