CS Boston Marathon crash? (..crickets)

Figured this group would be as good as any to see if I could convince anyone to humor the idea of training for the Boston Marathon?

In short-
hoping to find some people (or person!) who might be up for training for this year's marathon in April. Started training last year for a bit and am hoping to follow through this year- and think having a better support system would make the process more attainable (!) as well as (possibly) enjoyable (!)

Not that the training would need to be done together per se, but maybe a weekly/bi-weekly run/other cross training exercises/ keeping up with others' progress/etc. could work just as well.

Disclaimer- am in decent shape, but not exactly intimidating- Longest distance I've run at one time is probably only ~7 miles. Also appreciate the whole good food/better wine thing a bit too much to ever be a full fitness guru.

Disclaimer #2- Don't have a qualifying time which would mean I couldn't officially register for the marathon. Each year around 5,000 (albeit some are charity runners) ran as nonqualifiers. I know there can be some controversy with people running the thing unofficially so wanted to point that out first!

Last- I work at the Boston Sports Club in the South End so do have access to some decent group fitness resources/facilities which could be useful (yes that is a bribe)

Message me or post if there's any interest at all! Or if anyone knows of any other resources for like-minded training that would be much appreciated as well

Hey, this sounds great! I have been running along the Charles usually on weekends and sometimes after work (my office is in Prudential).. but definitely it would be great to have some company to motivate each other.

Typically I run for about 4-5 miles at a moderate speed.. I don't have a qualifying time either but I have ran couple of half marathons before but never a full marathon.

Running the Boston marathon (officially/unofficially) has always been my dream so lets do it!

Awesome! Used to live right near the river too so am familiar with some of the fantastic running paths in that area! We can gauge if there's any other interest (come on hikers/bikers..) but regardless I'm excited to get started! :)
