White Mountain hike!
Posted December 29th, 2011 - 5:38 am by from Worcester, United States (Permalink)
Hi I live in Worcester and there's a small discussion going on on one of the pages to hike white mountain during the holiday! I proposed it because I thought hiking White Mountain in this season isn't usually an easy thing but this year it is!
But I have never hiked White Mountain and don't have a car...! Plus not too many people in Worcester are interested in my idea:/ I thought it will be better to ask here. Is there anyone interested? Or maybe tips/advice?
I'm free 12/20-1/2 and other weekends, maybe able to adjust my work schedule for the other days. Please let me know!

I would love to go, but I don't have a car either:( and I won't be back in Boston until 1/3, so if anyone's going another weekend, I'm in!

Hello,

I'm down also, but don't have a car. I can ask some friends who have cars that might be interested on doing this but will have to be some time in the next couple of weeks as I am in Paris right now and won't be back till Monday...

hi guys,

we made an easy hiking on 7th at old furnace park instead of white mountain because my friend who hiked white mountain last week told me the rocks were too icy and the hiking was not pleasant any more.

we still can try presidential range, which is next to white mountain. it's not as rocky as white mountain so it will be easier to hike (i have never been there, i just heard from a friend). but we need a car to get there anyways (around 3hrs drive from boston). i'm asking around some friends! let's see if anyone can offer drive. we can chip for gas

Hey guys --Great idea! A lower altitude mountain this time of year would be best in order to avoid tons of ice and snow. Anyhow, I saw that a lack of cars was an issue in making this happen. My friend Brandon and I (another CSer) were talking about heading out next weekend (Sunday the 22nd) or the following weekend (Sat 28 or Sun 29th) for some sort of outdoors fun in NH. We will be driving, and can fit up to three others in the car. Let me know if any of you have interest, and if so, what ideas you might have. We are open to suggestions :).

Stay warm in the meantime!
