If you can, you have to try and get up to the White Mountains...they are the best thing around. It would be a little bit of a trip from boston (2.5 - 3hr drive), but would be well worth it. How long are you in Boston for? I might be available for a hike on Sunday if your looking for a tour guide.
I know some great day hikes in the white mountains and I'm free on Saturday. I don't have a car (only a bike) but I'm more than happy to be a guide. :) I can be picked up in Boston or closer to NH in Pelham.
I would love to get out of the City, and join for a hiking trip. one or two days.
have to be back in Boston Saturday at 10:00 to catch my plane at 13:30 back to Denmark, though..
I have everything hiking boots and sleeping bags, and a lot of experience I'm a back-country hiking and skiing instructor
Is there any mountain cabins "refuge" (in french) that it is possible to stay at any where around Boston?
