Hey All,

Name's Julian. I'm going to be staying at TRIUMF House on UBC campus from June 3rd-16th. I'm looking for some good company while I'm there, perhaps to go out or just to meet some nice people. I'd appreciate if someone might include me in their plans some afternoon/evening.

It being summer there may not be as many students, but I thought I'd giver a try anyhow. For my first week there I will be accompanied by another from our research group by the name of Sambuu.

Drop me a message any time,

:-J ulian

Hey,

I'm very new at this whole thing, but I'm traveling to Europe this fall and I wanted to get a start here at home. I'm a UBC student (history, potential honours candidate), not taking summer school, nor do I live on campus (I live in North Vancouver), but if you're still looking for someone to meet up with I'm around for the summer.

Not sure what kind of adventures you're looking for . . . I'll go to a bar but I'm not into the club scene or anything like that. I'm pretty stoked on walking/hiking (the Lions was sort of the limit of my hiking skills but there's tons of accessible and cool stuff here in North Van, or around UBC) but I'm also down for other things - not too knowledgeable about the local live music scene but I have a friend who's quite knowledgeable I think.

Anywho. Give me a shout if you're down.

Cheers,

Emily

Hey Em,

I am also fairly new to the couch surfing community. My first time crashing on someone's couch will be in a few days when some couch-surfers and I will go to Detroit for the long weekend. Though in the last little while I've had lots of fun meeting up with visiting surfers in Guelph.

Hiking sounds like an excellent adventure to me. I had been hoping to explore some trails last time I was in Vancouver but our visit was only 3 days long and there wasn't time. I did at least get to visit Stanley Park; it was gorgeous (particularly the view of the ocean and islands, which is somewhat rare for me living in Guelph) and i plan to visit it again.

I'm really up for anything, although clubbing is also not usually my preferred outing. Any of hiking, live music, a bar/pub, or a cup of tea would be lovely, if such works for you.

I will have my cell in Vancouver: 519 760 6767

Cheerios,

Julian
