I am normally never using groups to find a host, but I will give it a try this time. I sent many request and did not get many answer. We want to use couchsurfing because we think it is the best way to spent our half day in Arcata. We know that the world is still turning around while we are traveling and can make ourselves very small. Aldo, we will be happy if you have a bit of time for us.
Anyway my name is Nick. To make a long story short, I left 5 years ago to Texas with my car, which I left in a grocery store parking lot. I then, went all the way to Patagonia and back. It took me a year and it changed my life. I then took a plane to Africa and spent some time exploring the continent before going to Oceania for a short period. I traveled around Europe and the middle east for the last 2 and a half years. In total, I traveled for 50 months and discovered 89 great countries.
I am now the general manager of two hotels, one in my hometown of Sherbrooke and one in Montreal. I am also working has a basketball coach and I am writing for several travel books, newspapers and blogs.
I am now once again leaving for a two months road trip around Arizona, Nevada, California and Oregon. I will be with two good friends for 3 weeks and we will be passing by the 14th for 1 nights. We will have a mat and all we could need. We are very easy guest.
A bit about my mates:
Louis is lawyer. He spent the last year in Paris, studying at the Sorbonne and he traveled most of Europe. He joined me many times last year.
Alex is a sport therapist who is back at school to become a lawyer. He traveled most of South America. He is new to couchsurfing and I hope he will like it.
I hope it could work for one of you.
