Beach Volley in Tokyo
Posted March 7th, 2013 - 9:12 am by from Valencia, Spain (Permalink)
Hello people, anybody knows if there is some beach volley school or group in Tokyo to play it? Thanks so much

There is only one beach volleyball court in tokyo (chofu). I heard there are some teams in which the members also play beach volleyball (they mainly play volleyball though). Unfortunately I am not in that team because I am newbie in tokyo and still looking for a team in which I can play beach volleyball.

Google tells me about bv school
(written in japanese)

I'd like to join that school but the schedule of this year has not been fixed yet.

Akira, thanks so much for answering, I'll try to contact somebody in Chofu, I wrote already some email to the people of the link you gave me. I'll be here in a couple of weeks, and the first thing I will buy it a beachvolley ball :). If I hear something related. I will let you know.

If you need a partner to play beach/sand volley 2 vs. 2 I am all in. I will be in Tokyo from Thu (4th) till Monday then back again for the (19/20) weekend.

Do they have any outdoor pick up games? Forecast says temperature is between 12 to 18 so that's not a worry.

Ciao Pedro and Enrico,

So far we have several choices..

1. Konami Sports Club Fuchu

https://maps.google.ch/maps?hl=en&q=miyanishicho+1 -25-1+fuchu+tokyo&ie=UTF-8

Every Tue, Thu and Fri from 20:00. Tue and Thu for 4 vs 4. Fri for 2 vs 2. This is a private school/training at indoor-court. costs around 1575.

2. Beach Stadium Tokyo-bay(Creative Life Haneda Park)

Every Wed from 20:00 and Sun from 11:00 for 2 vs 2 matches. I don't know how much the cost is (free hopefully). The match will be canceled if it's bad weather since the court is outside.

3. Odaiba BeachVolley

2vs2 and 4vs4 tournaments are held one by one in every other week. The fee is 3000 for 2v2, 6000 for 4v4. Registration should be done until Friday in the previous week of the competition day. If you want to participate on 14th April, the registration will finish on 5th April.

Since I have another schedule on 14th April, I cannot join in the odaiba tournament. I would definitely go on 11th May. Meanwhile I am planning to play in Fuchu and Haneda. (Haneda is more reasonable I guess) If you would like to join, please let me know.

I am just noticed that there is only 4vs4 tournament in Haneda on 7th(Sun).

This is the group organizing bv tournament in Haneda. Perhaps we may join together in Fuchu on Friday. How do you think?

I called the konami club then they told me the following

* It's free for first time. (no registration)
* We basically need a monthly registration (525yen) after the first trial.
* There is no instructor on friday.
* On Wed and Thu, 2vs2 starts at 22:00, til then only 4vs4.

We can find someone playing with us there. I already reserved it. See you there!

Pedro and I are playing in Haneda (near the airport), and some other places occasionally. You need 1000 for haneda. It's on Wednesday from 20:00, if you want to play, join us.
