Hello! I'm in Tokyo for about a month and am staying with family, but I would like to find people my age (and conversant in English) who are familiar with Tokyo or outlying areas and would be interested in doing some hiking, museum-going, eating out (esp. if you know of great spots in Shimokitazawa!), or going to local events (as a visitor, it's hard to know exactly what's going on where!). I'm originally from California and have most recently been living in Boston, working at a cheese shop, so if you have any questions for me lemme know! Hope to meet some cool locals while I'm here :)

Heya! When will you be in Tokyo till? If you're still around by mid July i'm game to hang and explore :)

A little too old for disneyland, but fingers crossed (if you're still around), would you wanna visit? It's a bit of an odd place to visit alone haha.

Otherwise i do love hiking, museum visits AND eating out! So drop me a message if you're able to do any of these in mid July and keen on meeting up!

Aw, thanks for the response... I just left, actually :/

I went to the Tokyo Disneyland a long time ago, you should definitely go, it's worth it! I'm sure you'll find some CSers who are eager to go :)

If you like hiking... I went to Mt. Takao for a day hike while I was in Japan; it's really easy to get there on the train, and it's a nice trail. It took only about an hour to get to the top so it's a quick hike, but apparently you can extend your hike to Mt. Jinbo to make it a bit longer if you want. I was hoping to get back to do that but didn't get the chance. I would bring a poncho, though; it started pouring while I was there! I believe Kamakura also has nice trails and shrines, and is an easy trip from Tokyo. Anyway, I'm sure you'll find nice things! Would have been nice to hang out. Have a great time!
