Axis & Allies on Sunday @ 19h00
Posted October 14th, 2009 - 9:55 pm by from Doha, Qatar (Permalink)
Dear gamers,

I propose to play the following game this coming Sunday (Oct 18) at my place, starting at 19h00 with the explanation of the rules.

Axis and Allies
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axis_&_Allies
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/98

This is a 5-player game (Germany + Japan vs. Soviet Union + USA + UK) and so it would be good to have four other players. I can probably "recruit" outside CS as well if necessary. Please let me know if you'd like to join.

Normally, we should be done with everything by 23h00 and certainly by 23h30, so you can still get home by metro.

I live close to the intersection between Arago and Aribau (= close to metro "Universidad") and will send you details once you confirm.

Hasta pronto,
Ingmar

I plan to conquer the world with the Soviet Union. First Europe, then the world.

See you tomorrow night.

Muhahahaha!! (evil cackle)

Lars, unfortunately that won't work because you will not withstand my initial German Panzerblitz sweeping across your land to shake hands with the Japanese in Siberia. :-)

Don't count on the Americans or British to come and rescue you. I'll have my Uboots to entertain them.

See you tomorrow!

Hi,
I've heard a lot about this game from a friend of mine but have never played it. If you don't mind having an unskilled player I'd love to join!

Btw, do you plan to eat something during the game, or hard-core players don't need food? ;)

See you soon?

bring your own food and drink, we will share I am sure, so we don't bother too much the hospitality of ingmar.

and don't worry I never played this game, and I heard good things about it, but italy will never fail under my glorious leadership!!! :D

I know this is last minute and a bit selfish, but would you guys mind playing at my flat? I injured my legs on Friday and am unable to go more than a few steps.

We have plenty of space for playing games as Alessio can attest to.

Otherwise, I'll see you guys some other weekend.

My address is:

Carrer Cadí 42 Atico
Metro: L5 Blue line to Vilapicina.

My phone number is 680140810.

I look forward to overwhelming your pathetic defenses. And sorry for the confusion this may cause.

see! I never gonna take a flat without elevator for my past experience to be stuck in the house! :D

For me it is no problem, I suggest to call Ingamr directly he knows who is coming and who not.

And if I come at your place there is even Joke, so for me it is more than a pleasure! :D

Hi Lars,

Sure, that's ok with me. I'll bring A&A with me.
I'll also try to recruit one more player unless you guys know anybody who enjoys conquering the world on a Sunday evening.

I've just recruited a fifth player (Gaetan, a nonCSer). So with Daniele, we're good, right?

See you tonight.

And thanks so much for accommodating my handicapped needs.

Hi Ingo,

Theoretically, we're enough (= 5 players) but that should not keep you from coming. I'm also happy to share Germany's unbeatable forces with you. E.g. you could eliminate England while I enjoy my lunchtime tea in Moscow.

Wow, what a change of location! That's almost Horta :(
Whatever... it's ok for me as well :) I'll be at Vilapicina metro station at 18.45.
See you later.

Not to offend anyone, but I get a kick out of some WW2 propaganda posters.

Here's a good one for our Italian comrades:

And to the enemigo: ¡Ni agua!
