Yes, they are really expensive.

Cheaper (3euros!) and cooler for me is www.derkegel.de . There are also a lot of outdoor walls around berlin but in winter could be a bit hard.

Another cheaper option might be paying by the university like in:

You don't have to be necessarily a student and you can go to a free climbing course, that means you can just go climbing, not taking climbing lectures. Those from HU were in Magic mountain. If you want to take a normal course I can recommend some of the teachers there.

I will go tomorrow Wed to derkegel and perhaps outdoor during the weekend, in case you wanna join.

Also take a look at:

:) thanks a lot for your help !

i dont know at the moment how will be my week end. but it sounds to be a nice plan to climb outside before the weather becomes to bad.

Hello,

I also just moved to Berlin and after the last 3 month without climbing
I want to start climbing at least every week again.

Kegel sounds really nice. Do you need your own rope and runners at this place?
I only have a harness and shoes..

Wish you a nice evening and see you at the wall soon..

Whatever you do not have you can rent it there. No idea about the prices. I will go tomorrow with some friends to Kegel from 18hs and we have all the stuff, send me a PM if you wanna join.

Otherwise, perhaps in the weekend it is possible to climb in some free outdoor wall near Berlin.
