Hmm... basic tips.... if you look around the forum youll find some really good ones, but ill lay down the basics (Ive been there only last year tho...)

- first of all, if you plan to bring alcohol HIDE IT WELL! they confescate it or ban you entry with it. we had some good alcohol taken away.... :'(

- dont bring valuable stuff - if you plan to stay camping (which i STRONGLY recommend!) - you're tent will be alone most of the day. BUT we didnt have or see any thefts or crimes of any sort... so i guess its karma.

- youve got everything on the island - drinks, food, showers, toilets.

- there are many stages with different kinds of music, we just went stage-hopping and it was pretty awesome.

- also - make sure you dont camp NEXT TO THE RAVE TENT. made that mistake. bring ear plugs or big headphones.

- get ready for the best week of your life!!

mmm thats all i cant think of right now..

cheers!

I think that Ricardo may be a masochist with focus on the word "sweet". And besides, showers are for... umm... showerers....

I'm probably a p*ssy but sometimes I shower twice even @ Sziget. Girls don't forget to bring your bikini or a good sense of humor as the showers tend to be co-ed.

About the wet situation. The main roads are cowered with "bee cells" (rubber bricks of the shape of a hexagon) whish are airy inside and spritz muddy water once the get really wet, even the boots can't protect you. It has been wet and dry the last few week so if we don't get much water this week the soil can take a good amout of water I guess.

No problem with being pissy, Viri, but you mean "twice" per week, right?

As for the "wellies", bring 'em! Just so I can say "wellies" out loud....

Alcohol tips:P. Last year we were allowed to bring 0.5 bottles.
I'd get a lot of cans of beer(of course by the time I got to the festival they'd already be too hot to drink) and put them in my tent. Then I'd just get one and go to any beer vendors and say "this hot. that cold. Switch?". And I've never been refused=). Good way of saving money(beer is twice the price inside the festival area).

Last year we were allowed to bring 0.5 l of WATER inside, only because of swelter+queue.
But you can buy alcohol for almost free in the nearby Auchan. And it's not that hard to smuggle it in. :)
Or: taxi. They don't check taxis.

wouuww sounds crazy good Thanks for the info even though I think they would let those taxis in without searching otherwise I d take a big one ;)

but no worry I ll explain some of my plans here ..

1. Putting the drinks inside of a nylon bag ( special ones like muscle freezer) to make it softer and flexible to carry inside of a tent package.

2. designing a pipe system underground like 5mt digging a hole and with 20mt long under the ground close to the tents.. then coming in through the tunnel (also as it is cold itd be good for whom get sweat)

3. if possible to rent a helly like one in the skive beach party, making a close sortie over the tents leaving the drinks in a plastic bottles as much as u fancy ;)

4. carrying them under my fake hair ( I know it take time to bring enough for all of us , but its worth to take those golden tequilassss ;)

5. asking a bribe at the gate

hahahaa dont worry be happy people I have worked enough for that and we r gonna make that TEQUILA party!

Mmm, aside for the beer method, I used a simpler version.

I'd just fill my bag with alcohol, and on the top I'd place one bottle of nestea.
As soon as i got to the checkin I'd immediately take out teh bottle, and in my worst English start panicking about how i have this bottle and if it's okay and make a huge fuss. They'd take my bottle and throw it away, and not once did they remember to check the bag.

Acting skills required ;).

I put 2 plastic bottles à 0,5 l into my wellies and covered them with underwear - do u think that's hidden well enough?
furthermore, I filled up a bottle of mouth wash with... erm... "stronger" mouthwash...

can't wait to be there!
