when i stopped in tulcan for a night i thought that may be in a place as small as this it is impossible to find a veg restaurant and may be i will have to live on lentils and rice again but i just wanted to try something different and so started looking around.Suddenly i saw this very attractive chinese restaurant and although i have never eaten in a chinese restaurant in s.america before as i thought that they were always so expensive, but today i just felt heading inside the place and just looking at the menu.i, for a change, found cheap food.2 $ for a plate full of rice with vegetable and some chinese sauce and spice.it was soooo delicious.

after that i headed to quito with my friend and i knew that it is always easy to find veg restaurant in a capital city.

first day when we arrived ,we were so tired and almost everything looked shut so we did not want to walk or take a taxi to look for a veg restaurant so i thought may be i just have a juice or somehting.i joined my friend on her spree for searching carne and (although i have never been to kfc before )we ended up in kfc. she ate her stuff but to my disbelief i found lentils and rice and french fries with a bottle of water for 2$.wowo.i could not resist. sorry.

next day found this REAL INDIAN FOOD restaurant.i hadn´t eaten indian food for 4 months (after coming from india in july) and now i was excited ,delighted , i just relished the food.although it was expensive. but it was good. u can find all the great restaurants around mariscal sucre.

plese post some veg restaurants if u find any on ur trip.
