Posted February 8th, 2013 - 11:41 pm by from Dublin, Ireland (Republic of) (Permalink)
Hello!

I came to El Puerto de Snta Maria a couple of weeks ago and am teaching english here until June. If anyone is up for going to Morroco or to Portugal, please contact me as I am interested in sharing a rented car or going with some people to either place. I have a week off in March on the 23rd and would love to join up with some people to see Morroco! Any weekend too, for Portugal visit.

Let me know :)
Ciao

Hey Claire,

I just moved to the area as well. I'm buying a little clown car next week. It's not too roomy but it gets good gas mileage. I'll drive to Portugal one weekend. I'm travelling next week but I'm available after that so just let me know.

For Marroco we could take the ferry and travel whereever, i have been living in Cordoba for the last 15 years but i never crossed the sea.. i think its time! Hahahah for Portugal i know it wery well, lets start in Algarve and from there we could plan the Marroco trip, waht do you all think?? ;)

Hi all!!

last year I tried to organize a travel to morocco with my friends but they didn't want to spend their time going to there cause it wasn't worth for them.

anyway, Im still interested on this travel. my only problem is when to go, because Im working and I have not much holidays, taking into account that the good time is more or less now. in summer morocco is too hot!

Hello to all!

I have been looking at prices for going with the van, its aprox for 4 persons total 185€, 46€ each turn and return from Algeciras to Tanger.

My problem is that i allreeady are going on a trip to Italy in the beggining of March, so i dont think i will have more free days in March...

Where would you like to go in Marroco from Tanger? Lets see if we can match our dates fro traveling and free time ;)

Cheers* Leandro

Well me and Claire both agreed to go the week of March 23rd because it's semana santa and its the only week we have off from work until summer, as we're both teachers. I agree, i don't want to go in summer because it will be too hot. So for cities, we definitely want to go to Fez and Marrakech, maybe a couple other places, like a day in the desert and on the coast. The van sounds great if you are able to join us that week and Obviously anyone else who has that week free and wants to join, you're all welcomed! ciao ~ Bianca

Yeah, like Bianca said we only really get the tine off for Semana Santa! SO far we only have plans to meet in Tangier and get the ferry across, visiting fez, casa blanca etc. The van sounds awesome, but who will drive (um, not me) and will the car go on the ferry?? Also..... any tips about how to get to Portugal form Cadiz? Ciao

Aloha!

Last night i was looking at posibilities fro me to go to Morroco, but during the dates you girls/guys want to travel is impossible for me, sorry :(

Regarding how to get from Cadiz to Portugal, i think theres a Bus that drives from Cadiz to Faro.. its a bit bad conexion from Cadiz to Portgal because you will need to drive through Sevilla.

Good luck and ill keep my eyes open for another trip, maybe only on a normal week end to the mountains of malaga or Traifa ;)
