If you're looking for a free place for that many nights in East Village, I'm afraid you'll be out of luck. This is the most expensive area to live in the US and apartments are tiny. I recommend you consider other options, like places for $ or other neighborhoods.

Irena, we have a budget between USD 700 - 1000 for 2 weeks. We also want an apartment only for us and we don´t want to share rooms.
What neighbour do you recommend us for that price?

Tks a lot for your help!

In East Village, it would be pretty much impossible to get anything for under $100 per night and that's very low. Rent prices are $1800-2000 per month for tiny studios not including utilities etc.

You can look on Craigslist under sublets to see if there is anything available cheaper if someone is desperate.

Cheaper convenient neighborhoods would be right across the bridge from Mahhattan, so easy subway ride into the city: Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Astoria, Queens or Long Island City, Queens.

Very very Upper West Side can be cheaper as well, closer to Harlem.
