hi claudia,
being anti-israel or anti-zionist does not necessarily compare to holocaust denial or being anti-semetic. http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/ - i went to a march against the israeli missile strikes in lebanon a couple of years back and these guys were all over the place.

i am an anti-zionist in that i don't believe israel should've been established when it was, but i certainly don't agree with dissolving it as a state now. there are too many people that call it their home, and being anti-israel does not make you anti-israeli. you also fail to recognise particular reasons for being anti-zionist - there is a difference between despising jews and their culture and sympathising with the plight of the palestinians who have undergone decades of oppression since the british handed over part of their land to the zionist movement.

of course it's a sensitive issue in germany, but being over-sensitive and censoring debate is not the answer.

i have to head out or i would've gone into more detail but we can continue this later.

ps. i also have a lonsdale t-shirt which i found on the street here. i had no idea it was a neo-nazi symbol until 10 minutes ago. in the uk it's just a brand, and quite a popular one too. i thought i was getting all those funny looks for wearing it because it was way too big for me!
