I replied off-list to Patty, and I'll mention here that we have our own car (an ancient working Nissan) with us, as well as the use of our exchangers' cars...so that should help.

Also, our house situation is: one separate cottage sleeping one...or more, if we move another mattress in there. The main house has 3 bedrooms up and one down, and a large playroom. I have a queen-sized Aero-bed and linen with me, and there's a large single bed in the downstairs bedroom. There's an extra bedroom or two floating around, as you can envision. If that's any help, send ideas. The house can actually sleep 6 or 7 more people...8 if we use a couch. Might not be at all what anyone wants to do, but the space is here. Marilyn and Flora expressed early interest in staying with us, so they get first refusal:)

Hi all, I vote for staying Sharon's place, I will bring a sleeping bag with me, it will save all the headache for transportation and camping needs that someone needs to bring along.

OK..how about you and I splitting the rental cost, and we can bring along anyone else who needs a ride?
There..problem solved.

I, too, think it wold be great to take advantage of the space available for all of us at Sharon's. We can spend our time out in the wilderness then go to a comfy bed and indoor plumbing for the night. Sounds good to me!

that would be great cherie! i think i'll wait to book it, in case something changes... sharon, you said you have room for 8, i think? i don't mind a couch. but how many of us are planning to go?

i have to admit, the idea of camping is less appealing with the possibility of rain! so outdoors in the day & guaranteed dry beds sounds good!

I haven't done any research on this yet, but I do know that some state parks have yurts or cabins. I don't know if there are any like that on Whidbey, but a short visit to the state parks web site ought to provide information.
