You're missing the most extensive one available: SFU. In 2007, I took full-time "intensive immersion" Mandarin classes there, totaling 22 hours per week of class time, and homework on top of that. After doing that for 4 months, I went to China on exchange to Zhejiang University and spent the next 7 months doing intensive immersion there.

If you're serious about Mandarin, and you want to do it through classroom instruction rather than on your own, then SFU is your best option. The program is called the "Dual Degree Program" ("DDP"), and is offered through computing science, but they let me just take the Mandarin courses without needing to do any of the other stuff.

in my opinion, the fluent mandarin is not learning from the class but from communication with your friends.i would like to improve my english so maybe we can make the language exchange.

i am a native mandarin speaker from china.i am living in richmond.
