my dear friends iam almost here in hk !!

from tel aviv to hk i come to study little bit and to travel the great city.

i probably will stay in the dorms.
the cedars told me i must registered to the halls buildings and i actually want to be in the non hall, not to say in the city itself.

now i check everything and ask you the veteran : what are the prices of the non all (Patrick Manson)per month ? do some of you living there ?
is it possible to find a flat (separate room) even with roommate, for 3000 hkd, not more ?
it's crazy market and i will be there with you for 3 months.

any tips will be appreciate !! thank you good people

Hi first of all, welcome to HK!

I am afraid I am not familar with the dorms of HKU. U didnt say you are going to study at HKU but I recognize cedars is from HKU...anyway (there are 9 universities in HK, fyi)

So you will be staying near HKU. I guess it is possible to share an apartment with at least 3 people on the HK island side and each of you are talking about paying for HK$ 3000 per month only. I dont think you can find an apartment for HK$ 6000 (only among 2 ppl). Nevertheless, you may find a small room to live by yourself near HKU if you can pay HK$ 4 - 5000 a month; with no kitchen.

Have you contacted the international office of HKU? I think they can give you some tips as well.

You may visit my personal website for more info about HK. You can find it from my profile.

Hey, dont mention it.

You may try some in Jordan, Yaumatei and Mong Kok then. There is a cheap one in Mong Kok called Dragon hostel or something. I have friends (girls) stayed there before and they said its nice and safe.

You can also find a link in my personal website which leads you to pretty much all the hostels in HK.

See ya!
