Looking for language exchange :)
Posted January 17th, 2013 - 10:52 am by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
Hi you!

I am going to Istanbul in February, for the second time.
Now I am looking for someone who can help me improve my Turkish! I already joined the group for weekly meetings but I would like to meet someone frequently.

I have friends where I can stay, all I am looking for is language exchange! I can offer German and English.

As I already know some people who can teach me something and who I can talk to, it would be so nice to maybe find someone here who has more knowledged access to the language. Don't get me wrong, you don't have to be a teacher who normally lives from teaching language. But maybe you studied Turkish oder you just feel specially interested in language?

That would be nice but if not, we can still try out a Tandem!

Hoping to hear from you, I know you are out there somewhere!

Best,
Viviane

I'm a linguistics graduate, I'll get my master degree of English literature. I can efficiently write & speak in both English and Turkish, in fact I am yet to complete my novels because I work on multiple ones haha. I have taught English language to a few Turkish people, and I was halfway through teaching Turkish to a New Yorker, but she left me in the process haha. I still know that teaching English is quite different from teaching Turkish, and the experience is interesting to me. I have some knowledge of Russian, but I don't know anything about German beyond numbers, though I'd grasp it beyond expectations as I'm trained for languages. I'm only mentioning it because you listed it as an offer, I can help with your Turkish regardless.
