Hi Fabian,
Just spotted your message ( I am a photography fans haha). If you are thinking of taking light trails of busy roads in HK, I know a place in Central ( that's a footbridge near the Legislative Council. I am looking for places and company for landscape/street/ creative photography. Hope to get some reply!

Hope it helps,
Mendy

Dear Fabian,

There are a few places in mind which might have brilliant effects, I can think of 2-3 area for what you want.
Wanchai, Central, Mong Kok have footbridge over busy roads which set perfect scene for what want. Another
alternative is at the Hung Hom Cross Harbour tunnel.
I have just uploaded a photo taken there just now, so take a look.

Apart from light trail, i think places with lots of people walking past could set a nice view as well.

I hope this help you a bit, let me know if you are interested to go photo shooting together.

My apology for the misunderstanding,

The two photos in the previous message thread are found from web search, which are not taken by me.

What I meant is that I have just uploaded a photos of the cross harbour tunnel taken by me to my profile. You can have a look there

Dear Nuwan,

Great photo, the tunnel traffic seems much better from wider angle.

One thing about the lights in Hong Kong is that they are a bit yellow so it might look better with a slight tweak in the white balance.

Dear Fabian,

You don't need fish-eye lens, a normal lens can have good effect as well, it's the angle and position that matters.

These kind of photos are great and easy to take as well (found on the web).

Let's find a time to shoot ! It is great to meet other photographers.
I am currently thinking of getting a film camera at Sham Shui Po, thinking of getting a canon ae-1 or pentax k1000 (But both of them look very cool any way!) Any advice from you guys? And looking forward to have fun with my new film camera :D

Have a nice Friday!

I have a K1000! Can't go wrong with that camera! There's a huge number of lenses available for that mount, and you can even use many modern Pentax lenses; also, you can still use a K1000 if the battery runs out, and I'm not sure that's true for the AE-1.

Hey Alex,
Yea I heard that AE-1 can't shoot when the battery dies. Pentax might be a better choice thou I am not sure if I would use the lens on other cameras. But it is much better so maybe I will go for it if I found a nice second hand one. I like to shoot in black and white portraits and this model is so handy that hopefully people don't notice me taking pictures haha.
And you got some cool pictures on your website!

Some awesome photos shared, thanks Alex.

For photo shooting, are weekends better for you guys?

I have to work on weekdays so I would prefer weekends (say most preferrable Fridays).

Alex seems like you really like aeroplanes! I prefer Saturdays. (Friday might have extra work..)I actually want to go to Hong Kong Park in one afternoon and spend some time for street photography and light trails at night. Would be cool if anyone is interested.
