I am visiting Monterey around September 16-20 and need a little help organizing the trip any help is extremely appreciated.

1. I get into Monterey at 12:00am from Toronto is the airport sleep able? If not any recommendations on someplace to crash?

2. I would like to take a Bus to L.A after? what is the best route?

3. Any must see/eats in Monterey?

Hello mike!

It's a small airport, not sure how sleep ready it is..

Also not sure about the best bus route.

I can, however recommend some places to check out!

Old town Monterey is great, I prefer it to cannery row and all of the touristy shops. On the old warf there are two eateries I'd recommend: griddle in the middle- which has very tasty American grill food for breakfast lunch and dinner- or the sandbar- which is a more expensive restaurant (about 25 a dinner) with fresh tasty seafood menu items and a good beer selection (try Fat Lip). Off the warf there is also Paris bakery (petite turkey sandwich) and myo yogurt.

The aquarium is arguably one of the best in the world but is also expensive at 30 a ticket. Big sur is gorgeous as is the 17 mile drive.

Hope this helps! Enjoy the bay!

Thanks for the advice and help! Maybe I can sleep in the washroom ahaha :P. But seriously has any of your friends stayed in a cheap hotel near the Airport?

Thank you so much!
