In Balatonboglár Worth to see the wiev of the northern shore old vulcanoes from the hilltop wievpoint.
But before - if you are interested in quality handcrafting pottery - you might like to get dropped in Balatonboglár-Szőlőskislak, where there is a nice manor and pottery, called the Légli Manor.
In Balatonboglár there is wine a festival called BB days in the specified period. You might taste a lot of local wines and have festival fun there (but maybe it is not easy to find a room to rent for this reason).
If you like travelling to the northern shore by ship
http://www.balatonihajozas.hu/doc/BH_fo_menetrend.pdf
you can go to Révfülöp. In the time of BB festival, there is an extra nighship back from Révfülöp in 23.00.
Personally i am fan of northern shore due to more natural beauties, but at Balatonboglár you might also find good beach and fun.
For cultural and historical interests see Keszthely or Balatonfüred.
If you go around Eastern shore, where i am now, we can meet for a glass of wine to discuss history. Couch not available now, but we can show you the wiev of Balaton form the Balatonakarattya high alley.

In case you would leave Hungary until then, you may advise for others you know being around then.
