are you traveling to tanzania soon?
i spent 3 months in tanzania last year and have quite a few shillings left from that trip. and especially because i tended to hide some money here and some there all over my backpack and clothes, i now have a lot of tanzanian currency here at home in Berlin. i wanted to change them but as it turns out that is not possible at all. without knowing i had acted against tanzanian law which says that it is forbidden to take money neither out of the country nor into the country, and thats why not a single exchange office here in Germany would change my shillings to euros.
so now, this is my offer for any of you who is going to tanzania: if you dont care about that not-bringing-shillings-into-the-country-law, i will happily sell you my 163500 shillings for 50€. at the current official exchange rate 163500 shillings are actually 74,73€, plus what any exchange office in tanzania would charge you for changing euros there.
