How to get to the Netherlands?
Posted March 30th, 2011 - 8:13 pm by from Zurich, Switzerland (Permalink)

I'm looking to go to Nijmegen for Easter and I just can't find any cheap options. It can't be possible that two countries so close together don't have a cheap connection. I will be travelling to Holland a few times in the next 3 months and I haven't got much money being a Student and all. Last time I flew and hitchhiked but I prefer not to fly due to my carbon foot print and I don't really want to hitch hike as a lone girl (I went with a friend last time. I tried mitfahrgelegenheit but there don't seem to be any at the moment.

In Britain I know the cheap loop holes like megabus (£2 Edinburgh - London) Does anyone know of any such options here?

contacting him

+ mitfahren (it's quite safe, plus you can use some easy hint to make it safer, like traveling with whom offers more than one sits, making a phone call to the driver, telling a friend/relative the phone number & car plate you are travelling with) in germany should help!

Cheers! I've contacted her and I'll see what she has to say. So far I haven't had much luck with Mitfahrgelegenheit this time as few seem to go cross border. I've used them a lot for Berlin - Hamburg and they've been great so far but Holland was harder to find so thanks for the link.

You don't know of any cheap bus connections between Germany and the Netherlands by any chance?

Hey! Don't know of anyone is reading this post but I still haven't found anything and the train and coach both seem to be over 100 euro return. Anyone else got any tips?
