Multi-Lingual Student looking for Summer Job(s) in Berlin
I'm a student at McGill University in Montréal, Québec and wish to spend my summer working in Berlin.
(I know, how original!) I’m sending out this message to see if there is anyone here who knows what’s
going on in Berlin and would have any ideas or directions to point me in!
Although it may still be a bit early, I wanted to start testing the waters to see what's out there before I
take the big jump across the pond.
I'm not looking for anything too specific; I'd be happy in any sort of part-time position. Whether it
be waitressing, working as a barista, walking dogs, painting houses, cashiering, working as a music
appreciator (I wish!), translator, camp counselor, English tutor... I’ll basically do anything!
I have experience working in customer service and hospitality. I have taught conversational English to
students of all ages and backgrounds in Brazil and taught English to children in Italy. I absolutely love
working with children and have experience, having worked as a camp counselor and a babysitter in
Vermont and as an Au Pair in both Greece and Italy.
My native tongue is English, but I am fluent in (Brazilian) Portuguese, possess an advanced level in
Italian, Spanish, and French, and speak/read/write some Russian and Modern Greek. I am currently
taking an Intensive German course at my University, andam improving my communication skills daily. .
I have worked at at different music festivals here in Montréal, such as Suoni Per Il Popolo
(http://www.casadelpopolo.com/contents/suoniperilpopolo), Montréal Fringe Festival (http://
www.montrealfringe.ca/) and Pop Montréal (http://popmontreal.com/), and would love to work at
some festivals in Berlin.
Thank you for reading this and please get in contact with me if you have any ideas!
