1. We have never gone to Vladivastok, you need to get a VISA from the closest consulate which I believe is Beijing? but don't quote me on that. We did take a bus to Suifenhe and that is the Russian border where you would continue on to Vladivastok and it took 3 hours, it was a really easy trip.
2. There are not a lot of foreigners here.. I would say in total there are 9 of us right now, but 3 we never see.
3. Myself and my boyfriend work about 65-70 hours a month and make 7000 a month. BUT in our contract we could work up to 88 with the same pay. What school were you looking at coming to?
4. Everyone has told us that the Chinese spoken here is standard Mandarin, and that if you want to learn Mandarin, this is the place to be. There is a bit of a Dongbei slang but its not bad.
