Trip to Guanajuoto and San Miguel for Independence Day
I am joining a trip organized by a student association for a trip to Guanajuoto and San Miguel for Mexican Independence day. The organization is from one of the largest universities in MExico called TEC of Monterrey. Here are the details.
"We will celebrate this year’s Independence day at two of the most Mexican towns in our country Guanajuato & San Miguel where traditions like Sombrero and Tequila are still preserved.
In other words you will discover the real Mexico!
Our trip will start with a visit to “Hacienda Corralejo “ where you will learn the process of Tequila elaboration and its different varieties ( of course you will have the opportunity to try them all ) .
Then we will arrive to the beautiful colonial city of Guanajuato famous for its subterranean tunnels and narrow streets like “El Callejon del Beso” (Alley of the Kiss) where lovers, each standing on a balcony of either side of the alley, can reach across and exchange a kiss!
In this city we will be celebrating Independence Day on Saturday Night!
On Sunday we will visit the colorful town of San Miguel de Allende, a small village full of history and with amazing nightlife where we will continue celebrating our independence until 1 am on the different restaurants , bars and cantinas.
We will be coming back to Mexico City on Monday around 5 am.
