Red Bull Air Race & Festival in Perth, Western Australia on this Sunday, 19 November 2006
We are heading to the Air Race on the South Perth Foreshore this Sunday, 19th November 2006 around 11:30am if anyone would like to come along.
The Red Bull Air Race is a free event for everyone to attend. The race course or "track" will be on the Swan River, Perth. The race will be able to be viewed from both the North and South sides of the Swan River.
SIR JAMES MITCHELL PARK, SOUTH PERTH
The best viewing point is at Sir James Mitchell Park, South Perth (also known as the South Perth foreshore) where there will be commentary, music and big screens to create a festive atmosphere.
LANGLEY PARK AND RIVERSIDE DRIVE, PERTH
A temporary airport will be constructed on Langley Park, on the northern side of the river. Spectators will be able to view the race from Riverside Drive, however, the race acton will be closer from South Perth. The big screens and commentary will be on the South Perth foreshore only.
The Paddock Walk will be held on Langley Park on Sunday 19 November between 9am and 10:30am. With the airport temporarily opened to the public during the Paddock Walk, this is your chance to see the pilots and aircraft up close! The Paddock Walk is free to the general public, with entry from Terrace Road.
