Places that must be seen in germany
Posted November 3rd, 2012 - 11:43 pm by from Lima, Peru (Permalink)
Hello everyone,

I am planning to go next year to Germany and some other country in Europe. I have no schedule neither itinerary yet. Mainly i'd like to meet people and to know places of interest in Germany. I'd like some suggestions where to go and what to do during a stay of 8 days in this country.

Greetings from Peru

Hello there!

I'm Italian but have been living in Germany for a while so I can give you a few tips ;-)

No matter what your interests are, you have to visit Berlin. It takes a while to visit it ( at least 5 days) but if you just want to take a look at the main highlights 3 days on a schedule will do it.
From Berlin you just need a couple hours to reach Hamburg...I've never been there but it is said to be one of the most beautiful cities along with Munich.
I've been living in Munich and I recommend it as well...2 days will be enough if you don't have much time.

Otherwise...

Dresden is veery nice, a couple days will be enough ( possibly you could also go on a day trip)

If you're a party type and wish yo meet chilled out people you should definately visit Cologne ( better during the WE)
The city itself is not that pretty but the atmosphere is very cool. From there you can go on a day trip to Duesseldorf which is prettier or to Bonn( you'll need a couple hours to visit it)

Frankfurt is also very nice...you will see how old and modern are perfectly combined together...I recommend you going at the weekend in case!

Well just take a look at Germany's map, so you can manage your travelling more strategically depending on your position but this is pretty much all you need to see ( actually a week is not enough to see all of this, its just some ideas)

Haven fun!

Hola a todos

Thank you very much for the info, certainly I am very interested about german culture. I am thinking to know a couple of big cities, some other place inside the country. But mainly I'd like to contact people, in this way I can learn from the local point of view, that is what i want. I know it's a few time, but I expect to go to Italy to visit some friends, that will make another week or a little more.

Muchas gracias a todos.

Saludos desde Peru

Hola! Te recomiendo mucho ir a pueblos tambien!

Tu me podrias ayudar?

Nuevamente muchas gracias.

Saludos

Hola Freddy!

Saludos y feliz navidad!
