Hike to top of the rock on Saturday Oct 13

He everyone! Me and my friend are planning to go to Gibraltar from Fuengirola this weekend, most likely tomorrow. We'd like to do The Mediterranean Steps hike. I was in Gibraltar a month ago and wanted to do this hike, but by mistake did the other one, not so picturesque. I wonder if some of you have done it and can give tips on how to find the start of the hike. Also, maybe some of you would like to join?
Let me know!

To get the the Mediterranean Steps you have to go to Europa Road where the old casino used to be. To get there you can get a bus. Just to the right of the old casino is a road called Engineer Road. Walk down this road and you will eventually end up in the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and at the end of it it's called Jew's Gate (.50p entrance)
Here you will see the Pillars of Hercules Monument and the view to Jebel Musa (Moses Mountain) which is the other 'pillar' in Morocco.
The steps are located off to the left side. There is a small building and the sign for the steps is on the side wall. Before you go up the steps, check out the old Jewish cemetery also on the left but just a few yards further along from the entrance to the steps

Alternatively you can get a taxi to Jew's Gate and start your walk there.

I am going the Med steps up or down regularly (I like it down much more, since you can enjoy the sea view a lot more!)

Recently I've been recording my trip on my GPS. You can see the Med steps walk starting on the bottom (south), right next to the place where they charge you the 50pence and the monument of Jews Gate is located (looks like a huge coin). The entrance is to the left of the ornithological society building and then turns to the right.
If you rather want to go from the top, go for the direction of O'Haras Battery. Walking towards the battery will look like your track ends at closed gates, but actually the steps are starting right to the left of the gates and go down zick-zack as seen on the map:

Depending on what time you'd like to start I could even join, but would prefer to do it in the afternoon after 4ish.
