Thank you for the question.

There is no rule prohibiting political messages in CS groups. Such decisions are left to the discretion of the individual communities' moderators.

The same is true regarding invitations to join an activity. As long as the post complies with the CS Terms of Use, and the moderators find it within the topical frame and guidelines of the group, it may be posted.

Simirarly, what about (any type of) events where the person who posts makes no profit, but there is an entrance fee / some money involved? (e.g. an artistic event, a social event, a charity event?)

(I do remember asking something similar before, but it was a different context)
